The Department of Film, Television and Digital Media
In 2009, the Department of Film, Television and Digital Media changed its name from The Department of Radio, Television and Film to reflect the increasing role of new media and digital technology in our program offerings and the culture, more broadly.
Pending final university approval, the department will also launch its new Sports Broadcasting major in the Fall of 2010, which caters to students interested in sports production, directing, announcing and broadcasting.
These two exciting changes will further enhance our program, which already offers students Emmy and Cine-award winning faculty, challenging courses, the latest production and post-production technology, the only Avid-certified training site in Texas, a close network of alumni, and so much more.
